If I was sighted, I would love to go skiing and doing athletics like running. I mean I know that I could do it now, too, but for skiing I have no good balance and I need help for running, that makes it very difficult for me. What sports would you like to play if you were sighted?
Hey I am already playing sports now, and I am blind!!! My favorite sports that I play are Football and basketball and I play soccer too and I was a captain of my team!!!
Hmm, running you can do pretty easily, if there is a club in your city (which I'm sure there is) you could learn about runing with an assistant or coach, blind runners are really really good, the marathon times are very impressive so if you want to do that, well don't let blindness stand in yur way.
I'd love to do tennis, I think tennis would always have been my fav sport, soccer also, of course, it's fun team sport and I'd also possibly enjoy motorbike racing. Lots of my friends are crazy about that and I understand why, riding as a passenger on bikes is fun, to a point, but I think the real fun is becoming one with the bike, learning to control it etc, not as a sport necessarily but definitely to get around etc, but it'd be fun, if a little crazy.
But an assistant isn't always there if you want to do sports.
Yeah, I would like to run on my own if I were sighted. I could probably do it now, but I don't seem to trust myself as much since I can't see where I'm going. Also, when I used to run with people during PE when I was in school, or once while me and some relatives were playing baseball, I've been forced to run fast when I wasn't yet ready for it or run into stuff. I know with the sport, that preobably wouldn't happen, but I'm scared to run now with other people. *smiles* So yeah, I'd do running if I could see.

Well if there's a gym or a field where I can run without falling, it's okay. But alone in a forest, jogging - hm, I wouldn't trust myself.
Hey. I wouldn't say that blindness is to my disadvantage when it comes to sports. As you guys may be able to tell from my user name, I am a dancer. I also run. I was going to be on the softball team if I had time, which I most certainly don't. I guess that since I'm blind, all the better. I must go for it! I can understand how running could be challenging without a guide, but I ski quite often without someone holding my hand or whatever, just telling me when to turn, so yeah.
Well yeah, dancing is good for blind people to do, I agree.
Basketball, baseball and football...definitely. :)
Football? I would definitely do no sports where you can have strong and hard body contact. Never ever.
For fucks sake... I have to say this.
Why, don't, you, think, you, can't, play, sports, if, you're, blind! Oh my gosh. Be optimistic! You can do anything if you're blind. I skateboard and I may be one of the best in my town and there are quite a few skaters in my town! It takes practice even for a sited person. So don't be lazey, make things happen!
I would cycle if I was sighted. I would buy a mountain bike and go cycling in the Rocies or some such place. I'd still like to do that if I could find someone willing to ride a tandom bike with me. I used to downhill ski, but haven't done it in many years. I also used to run, I was a member of my junior high school track team. I could play baseball quite well, though I didn't really like it. I'd definitely play hockey if I could see.
ice hockey, figure skating, gymnastics.
I would loe to play hockey!
Anything that involves lifting big waits or beating up other people.
Most of this stuff you guys could do... You just have to try.
